Thanksgiving for Revival

During this month of Thanksgiving will you join us in praising and thanking God for the breakthrough of revival to come?

​What does revival actually look like?

It’s not a church meeting. It’s not people doing good deeds or being “good” people. Revival is a passion for God that begins in each person’s heart. From inside, from their heart’s desire, people seek to live a life that is honoring to the Lord. That passion for God is contagious, and it then multiplies on a massive scale to change cities, states, and entire nations for the Kingdom of Heaven.

When the church first began in the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit came. People received Jesus as savior by the thousands. Everyone in the church received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. People were healed by the multitudes. People followed the 12 apostles around because they were hungry for the word of God and had a desire to live a righteous and Godly life. People accepted callings into full-time ministries. People generously gave to support the ministers and to feed and provide for the needy in the church. The church spread and grew rapidly. This was the beginning, but we will see the same things happen when revival comes!

Saved by the multitudes!
People will confess Jesus as their Lord, will be redeemed from destruction, and will be set on the path to fulfilling God’s plan for their lives. This includes the loved ones for whom we’ve been praying! We will see little children and the elderly, those who were atheists as well as the religious in churches, people from all backgrounds and ethnicities believing on Jesus Christ.
Miracles! The Glory of God will cover America like the waters of the sea. Where the glory of God comes people get physical healing, emotional healing, and deliverance. Miracles, signs, and wonders manifest in the presence of God.

Generosity and kindness!
Every great awakening in history has seen a tremendous influx of resources to the church: missionaries fully funded, no lack of volunteers, and the poor fed and clothed. If any church member had a need, all of the others would gladly meet it.

Desire for God’s Word!
I get excited about seeing the church become hungry for the word of God and God’s righteousness. Imagine how our communities would change if people in our churches were passionate about righteous living?! Hypocrisy, complacency, and feel-good Christianity will dissolve away and be replaced by a church that is serious about honoring the Lord.

This month we will celebrate Thanksgiving. I sense revival is coming, but when I pray for it to come the Lord has been telling me to just thank him for it as if it’s already a done deal. Don’t underestimate the power of prayer and praise to cause a breakthrough. Prayer and praise will cause prison doors to open and chains to break off.
